Niagara police say the driver of a motorcycle was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash on River Street in Thorold Saturday.
Officers say the driver of a Black Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling southbound on River Street, south of Cross Street, when it failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway and crashed.
The driver was transported to an out-of-region hospital, and no other injuries as a result of the collision were reported.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation and are asking residents in the area for video footage.
Detectives are also asking businesses in the area of River Street to review surveillance footage and to reach out to police if the driver is observed.
