Simcoe man faces multiple charges after Wainfleet crash leaves two hospitalized

A 34-year-old man has been charged following a September collision in Wainfleet that left two people in hospital, say police.

On Sept. 9, two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash on Forks Road between Mill Race and Gents roads.

As a result of an investigation carried out by Niagara’s Collision Reconstruction Unit, Logan William Beam of Simcoe was arrested on Dec. 3 and faces the following charges:

  • Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm (four counts)
  • Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm – Drug (four counts)
  • Operation at or Above Low Blood Drug Concentration
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon in a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of a Firearm, Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance
