A 78-year-old Simcoe man has been charged with performing a stunt and excessive speeding in Brant County after driving twice the limit.
The driver was clocked at 125 km/h in a 60 km/h zone near Pleasant Ridge Road and Colborne Street West where an OPP officer had been conducting a traffic stop.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days, as per legislation.
The OPP reminds all motorists that stunt driving “not only puts the driver at risk but endangers everyone else on the road.”
To report aggressive or dangerous driving, contact the OPP at 888-310-1122 or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
