Shoppers smoked out of Pen Centre

The Pen Centre in St Catharines was evacuated earlier today. Smoke in the mall forced everyone out around 10 this morning.

Crews had been doing electrical work off site. When the power was turned back on smoke circulated through the ventilation system and set off the alarms.

Everyone in the mall was forced outside in the cold until the smoke had cleared.
