The bail hearing of a man accused of sexually assaulting a child in Hamilton will be held over until next Wednesday. 29-year old John Adam Greene surrendered to police on Monday and is facing multiple charges including abduction, aggravated sexual assault and threatening death. Residents of a building on Sanford Avenue say a man abducted a young girl on Saturday and sexually assaulted her.
Greene was last in court on Tuesday guarded by several police officers. There is a publication ban in effect. We are unable to share many of the details observed in court Thursday.
Greene was in court via video link and not in person. And he did not need a wheel chair nor was he heavily guarded. He wore an orange jumpsuit, his head was shaven and his hands were shackled.
While during his last court appearance he made many outbursts, today was somewhat different. His lawyer Larissa Fedak was present and she did ask him not to speak out loud at certain points. He seemed very agitated and frustrated at times.
Greene will meet with his lawyer before his next court appearance which will be in person next Wednesday morning.
