Halton police are investigating after several high-end vehicles were stolen from a car dealership in Oakville Sunday morning.

Officers say the theft happened at around 3:35 a.m. on Sunday.

“We didn’t realize until about 6:30 a.m. when our neighbour notified us that our garage door was open,” says Russell Osborne, a sales associate at Lockwood Leasing.

The dealership has mostly high-end vehicles, investigators have determined that eight cars were stolen from the showroom. One Ferrari, two Mercedes’, two Porsche’s and two BMW’s.

Police say they have recovered three of the cars, a BMW, a Mercedes and the Ferrari. All of which were found in the GTA.

“I guess someone didn’t know how to drive a manual transmission and maybe one of them ran out of gas or something,” Osborne says.

He says they recovered some cars just across the street.

Investigators believe that there are eight suspects, all of which were wearing dark clothing and face coverings.

The dealership believes that the thieves will be back for the rest of the cars as they already have all the keys from the dealership’s lock box.

Lockwood Leasing is on South Service Road West near Third Line.

The showroom at the dealership remains empty but open on Monday.
