The Hamilton Conservation Authority is reopening many of the city’s waterfalls Wednesday.

As of July 15, the following areas are open, with special measures and guidelines in place:

  • Tiffany Falls
  • Devil’s Punchbowl
  • Borer’s Falls
  • Felker’s Falls

Visitors are being asked to plan their trips during off-peak times, like weekdays or early morning.

People will be allowed in on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If the parking lot is full, be prepared to turn back.

Visits should be kept to an hour or less.

People should practice physical distancing, stay on trail and make sure pets are on least at all times.

Spencer Gorge and areas associated with it will be reopening in September.

For now the following areas are closed:

  • Dundas Peak
  • Spencer Gorge
  • Tew Falls
  • Webster Falls
  • Crooks Hollow
  • Spencer Adventure Trail
