Search warrants across Hamilton leads to seizure of drugs, firearms

As a result of search warrants executed on Thursday across the city, Hamilton police seized large amounts of weapons and drugs.

Officers executed a search at an Ancaster home, a property in Burlington and a motor vehicle seizing drugs with an estimated street value of $632,685.

Investigators also found large amounts of cash between $200,000 to $250,000, two handguns with ammunition, and multiple weapons.

Detectives arrested 34-year-old Nikolas Deschenes in connection to the search warrants and is facing multiple criminal charges linked to possessing weapons and illicit drugs.

Officers are also looking for a 31-year-old man from Burlington who they say will be charged with possessing drugs and a prohibited weapon.
