School, buses cancelled Tuesday for freezing rain in Halton

Halton Student Transportation Services have cancelled all buses in the region for Tuesday.

This includes all three inclement weather zones for the region.

The Trinity Christian School in Burlington will also be closed on Tuesday due to the weather.

This is due to a freezing rain warning that Environment Canada has issued for most of the Golden Horseshoe.

So far, most other schools in Halton have elected to stay open.

For those making the trip into school, West Region Ontario Provincial Police are providing some advice for drivers.

“Please reduce your speed, drive according to road and weather conditions, leave enough time, room and distance between other vehicles,” says Sgt. Ed Sanchuk in a video posted to X.
