The Hamilton Santa Claus Parade is changing their routes for this holiday season from downtown to up the mountain.

Organizers announced on Wednesday that the move is, “due to changes in the downtown core and the coming work for the LRT (Light Rail Transit)”.

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16 and will start in the afternoon at 2 p.m.

The new route will start on Upper Sherman and Acadia Drive and head north to Limeridge Road. The parade will then move west to Lime Ridge Mall and end at the mall parking lot.

Cadillac Fairview will be holding parade-related events at the mall following the parade.
