Hamilton Salvation Army kettle campaign struggling to meet donations goal

The Salvation Army relies on its annual Christmas Kettle Campaign not only to make the season brighter for the less fortunate but to stock their food banks all year round. With only 12 full days left until Christmas the Hamilton Salvation Army says it`s not even half way to reaching their goal of $410 000.

Last year was the first time in 6 years the Salvation Army did not reach their goal. They came up short by about $2000 and they don’t want that to happen again.

They say the biggest challenge is finding volunteers to collect donations and it’s not too late to sign up.
