Russian hockey player dies

The only hockey player to survive last week’s Russian plane crash has died of his injuries.

Alexander Galimov, 26, died Monday morning from the severe burns that covered about 90% of his body.

The crash last week outside Yaroslav has now claimed 44 lives, including 37 players, coaches and staff of Russia’s Lokomotiv Hockey Club.

The only other person to survive, a member of the flight crew, is undergoing treatment in Moscow.
