A Fort Erie woman accused of killing her 2-year old daughter may be sentenced today.

Roseanne Whalen was supposed to be sentenced in June, but the hearing was pushed back. A second degree murder conviction carries an automatic life sentence of 25 years, but details of Whalen’s parole still need to be determined.

2 year old Marissa Whalen died in July 2011, after her mother’s partner, Rainbow Hill, dropped her head-first into a bath tub. Marissa’s body was buried in a crude grave on the Six Nations Reserve.
