Residents on east Hamilton Mountain without power after car crash

Residents on Hamilton’s East mountain were still without power Tuesday morning following a crash yesterday afternoon.
An SUV hit a hydro pole and a parked car on a driveway shortly after 5 p.m. on Fennell Ave. between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa.
Hamilton police say a 66-year-old man has been charged with careless driving and is now being treated for minor injuries.

Alectra Utilities say around 2,000 homes and businesses were affected. Over 800 customers were still without power Tuesday morning.
Crews have restored the power just before 8 a.m. today.
Anyone who may still experience power outages within the area is asked to contact Alectra.
