VIDEO: The Washington Post announced Wednesday it’s laying off one-third of it’s staff in the newsroom and other departments. The wide-ranging job losses primarily impact the sports, podcast, and foreign desk units. The staff reduction is a significant blow to one of journalism’s most legendary brands. Staff and readers of the post alike are shocked and saddened over the aggressive cuts. The 150-year-old newspaper has won dozens of Pulitzer prizes, most famously for it’s Watergate coverage. Following this news, journalism experts are worried this could spell the end of an era.
