RCMP derails train terror plot

The RCMP says terror suspects it has taken down were planning a major terrorist attack here.

They were arrested in Toronto and Montreal, and the investigation was part of a cross-border operation involving Canadian law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and FBI. There are reports that the suspects may have been targeting a train from New York to Toronto. The route is run by both Amtrak and VIA Rail, and goes across the border in Niagara Falls. Al Sweeney is in Toronto where a news conference was held this afternoon.
