Still wondering what to do with your Christmas tree? The Royal Botanical Gardens wants it.
It has extended its annual Christmas tree collection deadline to Jan. 16 as it seeks 3,000 trees. It has received 1,400 so far.
The RBG uses the trees to help restore streams and aquatic ecosystems, while also providing natural habitats for birds, insects, reptiles and other animals.
To pre-register to drop off your tinsel-free natural tree, go to the “donate your Christmas tree” page on the RBG website.
