Police are now looking at possible hate crime charges against a woman accused of assaulting a Hamilton cab driver. The incident was caught on video that also reveals disturbing racial insults hurled at the driver.
It was shortly after 4pm Monday when a Hamilton cab was called to a McDonalds at Dundurn Square. That’s where Abakar Malloun Boukar picked up a woman. “She opened the door and she put her juice down and it spilled in my back seat.”
He asked her to clean it up. “She said F you why are you talking to me like that N**** and I stayed quiet.”
She told him to drive to Jackson Square and when they were almost there she said that she had already paid. That’s when she began swinging at the driver over and over. People started to gather, they called police and it was all captured on cell phone video.
A 33 year old Hamilton woman has been charged with assault and will appear in court November 3rd.
