CHCH has learned the identity of the two men killed in a horrific crash on the QEW in Oakville on Tuesday.
Family and friends are identifying the victims as Oakville residents 23-year-old Timothy Boissiere and Michael Calderone.
Friends say Calderone was driving to a local bar to watch a hockey game with his friend Timothy Bossiere, when the SUV they were in slammed into the back of a tractor trailer before being engulfed in flames.
Boissere had turned 23-years-old just two weeks before.
Friends described him as a caring guy who was a trained fighter with Kombat Arts in Mississauga.
He leaves behind his parents and two younger sisters.
Calderone was just beginning to establish himself in the financial district.
He graduated from McMaster’s Commerce program last year and recently landed a job at TD bank in downtown Toronto.
According to friends he was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan and had a passion for stocks.
The Facebook pages of both men were flooded with messages of condolences and disbelief.
jJustin Beatty wrote this message online, “remember the good times, away with the bad. RIP brother, I will miss you more than words can describe.”
The crash caused a large diesel spill forcing OPP to close the stretch of the QEW for 18 hours.
