Ontario’s latest province-wide shutdown begins just after midnight and stricter measures will be in place for at least four weeks. Personal care services such as nail salons and barber shops will be closed and restaurants will no longer offer dining room or patio service. Under the new regulations, indoor public events and gatherings are prohibited except for those living in the same household.  As for outdoor gatherings, they are limited to five people. The stores that can remain open, including supermarkets, convenience stores and pharmacies are limited to 50% capacity, big box stores – 25%. While day camps are closed, other indoor events such as weddings, funerals and religious services are capped at 15%.  Although the province has stopped short of imposing a stay-at-home order, the government is asking people to remain in their homes except to buy necessities.
