Property taxes nudge up in West Lincoln Council 2025 budget

The West Lincoln Township Council approved its 2025 budget this week, with property taxes only slightly up.
For most homeowners, it will mean paying about 71 dollars more this year. The rate is based on an average single detached home in West Lincoln based on 2016 property assessments.
The multi-million dollar budget lists funding for road work — including $1,200,000 towards resurfacing Silverdale Road, from Twenty Mile Road to Regional Road 20 — sidewalk replacements and $700,000 for a new storm system, $1,000,000 for a new fire truck and nearly $207,000 for the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital levy.
