Progressive Conservative nomination meeting cancelled

The weather is cancelling many local events today including a Progressive Conservative nomination meeting at Ancaster Fairgrounds.

The new nomination was called when the original meeting was plagued with controversy last May. Two of the candidates alleged the PC party stuffed the ballot boxes so 25 year old Ben Levitt would win. Police continue to investigate the allegations.

Past candidate Vikram Singh, who alleged the original vote was fixed, had his application rejected.

Jeff Peller who launched and then dropped a court application to appeal the results of the first nomination still hasn’t confirmed if he will be running.

No word yet on when the meeting will be rescheduled.
