Problems solved at Pearson Airport

Things are back to normal at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport after a computer glitch wreaked havoc with the check-in process Saturday.

An airport spokeswoman says all delays have been dealt with after the airport’s check-in counters malfunctioned, and passengers had to be checked in manually.

Additional staff and IT experts were brought in to deal with the problem. The hold-up follows the cancellation and delays of hundreds of flights earlier in the week. Pearson officials issued a “ground stop” order on Tuesday, preventing flights from landing for more than eight hours because of the cold weather.
