Prices will rise at the pumps this May 24 weekend

Gas prices rose 2 cents a litre May. 17 and will rise another 2 cents May 18.

Dan McTeague from Gasbuddy.com says the average price over the May long weekend will be 130.9 c/litre.

“The place where gas prices are set known as the NYMEX which is the New York Mercantile Exchange has seen gas prices rise by 10 cent a gallon in just 3 days on rising global tensions in the Persian Gulf and a draw in gasoline inventories in the US. This has little to do with our long weekend as the Americans don’t start theirs until next week,” says McTeague
