Premier Doug Ford received his first COVID-19 vaccine dose Friday morning.
Ford got the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine at an Etobicoke pharmacy at 10 a.m.
He has set a goal of getting 40 per cent of Ontarians their first dose over the next month.
Ford is the latest politician in Canada and around the world to be publicly vaccinated.
The premiers of Quebec, Manitoba, New Brunswick and the Territories have also publicly shared their vaccinations to encourage everyone to do the same.
Minister of Health Christine Elliott received her first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine last month.
