Premier Doug Ford extends emergency order until April 23rd

Premier Doug Ford has extended emergency orders until April 23rd. this includes the closure of parks and recreational areas and non-essential workplaces.

The extension does give hospitals more time to seek alternatives when addressing patients like setting up more tents or other facilities to increase capacities.

Health Minister Christine Elliot did address issues regarding frontline staff who work at multiple long term care and retirement homes.

She says they’re trying to figure that out at this time to help workers get the employment they need in one place.
