Potential non-essential travel ban between US and Canada

Non-essential travel between the US and Canada could soon be banned.

The two countries are reportedly working on a joint statement to be issued within the next couple of days.

Trade and commerce between the two countries would still continue, but tourists will be banned from crossing the border.

Essential workers would also be exempt including critical truck drivers, airline crew members and health-care workers who live and work on opposite sides of the border.
