Polygamy laws constitutional

The British Columbia Supreme Court has ruled Canada’s laws against polygamy are constitutional.

The court also says the laws should not be used to prosecute young girls who get married.

The province pursued the case, after the failed prosecution of two men from the religious community of Bountiful.

Legal experts believe the case will be appealed to the Supreme Court of Canada.
