Poll suggests Toronto supports Olympic bid

With the Pan Am Games just completed, a poll released this morning says a majority of Torontians support a potential bid for the city to host the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The poll says 61 per cent of those surveyed were in favour of the bid compared to 30 per cent who were against it.
Potential hosts have until mid-September to submit applications to the International Olympic committee.
Rome, Raris and Hamburg have all said they plan to bid for the games, but Boston dropped out of the running yesterday.
The Summer Olympics haven’t been held in North America since 1996.
