Police suspect arson after two fires break out at Hamilton Mountain gym

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate two fires that happened within hours of each other at a local gym.

Emergency crews were called to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Crunch Fitness on Stone Church Rd. near Nebo Rd. around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the fire was put out but three vehicles were damaged.

Later that evening, police were called back to the address for reports of a structure fire around 11 p.m.

Police say the fire was extinguished and no one was injured during the incident.

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.
