Police seek witnesses after serious collision in Brampton

Peel Regional Police are asking for help from the public as they continue their investigation into a serious collision that happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Brampton.

Police say the collision took place at approximately 12:01 a.m. yesterday on Heart Lake Rd. north of Sandalwood Pkwy.

A 19-year-old man from Brampton was driving northbound on Heart Lake Rd. when his vehicle entered the oncoming lanes and was struck by another vehicle.

The southbound vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old man from Mississauga, police have not released details as to the condition of this man.

The passenger of the northbound vehicle, a 20-year-old man, was transported to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.

Investigators are asking anyone with dash cameras in their vehicles or anyone in the area who witnessed the collision to call investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710.
