Police seek suspect after Georgetown high school assault, lockdown lifted

Police say Georgetown District High School is no longer in lockdown after a student was assaulted and injured Thursday afternoon.

Officers continue to search for a male youth suspect who is believed to not be at the secondary school anymore.

Nearby Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School, Christ the King Catholic Secondary School and Gary Allan High School were in hold and secures, but they have since been lifted.

No arrests have been made in connection with this targeted incident.

Investigators are warning the public to expect a heavy police presence in the area.
