Police seek man accused of following child home in Fort Erie

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of following a child home in Fort Erie.
Officers responded to an address on Monday concerning a suspicious person. Upon arrival, police learned that the person visited the house for the second night in a row to inquire if a child arrived home safely from the local park.
When questioned by the parent of the child, the adult male identified himself as “Patrick.” He is described as White, 160 lbs, with brown hair and a brown beard.
During his visit to the reported home, he wore a baseball hat, blue jeans, and green jacket with “community watch” printed on the front. He was last seen riding a grey mountain bike.
Officers believe the man is frequently around the Sugar Bowl Park area in Fort Erie.
Residents who reside near Catherine St., Central Ave., and/or the Sugar Bowl Park area are encouraged to review their CCTV footage.
