Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people accused of breaking into a retirement condo building in Welland.
Investigators allege three people disguised in black broke into multiple units on June 28 and July 1. Officers say the occupants of the units were away on vacation at the time of the break-ins.
The three people allegedly stole jewelry, cash and a significant quantity of precious metals, including one-ounce silver bars.
Detectives believe the suspects attempted to sell or trade the silver bars and are appealing to pawn shops, second-hand dealers, precious metal buyers or any businesses that may have been approached by the trio looking to sell similar items.
Anyone with further information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, ext. 1009177.
