Police searching for vehicle after woman killed in Burlington hit-and-run

Halton police are searching for a vehicle after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon in Burlington.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road. Authorities say the vehicle involved fled the scene.

Officers describe the suspect vehicle as a black sedan. They say it was last seen travelling northbound on Maple Avenue.

Investigators expect the vehicle to have front-end damage.
