Police search for man’s body in Lake Erie

Niagara Regional police were called to Sherkston Shores around 5 p.m. Wednesday after a man in his late 40’s fell into the water from an inflatable raft.

He was alone and police believe he went out too far and lost control. A helicopter and marine units have been searching for the man.

The water is still extremely cold and police believe it is now a recovery effort.
