Police search for man who allegedly grabbed boy at Hamilton school

Hamilton Police are searching for a man accused of grabbing a student at Cathy Wever School.

Police say a nine-year-old student says he was grabbed while he was standing near a fence in the school playground around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The student ran into the school and told staff.

Police say he was not injured.

The man is described as white, between 40 and 50 years old with grey hair.

He was dressed in black, wearing black shoes with white stripes and was carrying a large black bag, possibly a garbage bag.

He was last seen travelling south on Wentworth St.
