Police search for 2 connected to human trafficking in St. Catharines

Niagara police are searching for two people wanted in connection with a human trafficking investigation in St. Catharines.
Police say a female victim was coerced into the sex trade in February by two suspects that she met in Montreal.
A series of offences are alleged to have occurred against the victim between Feb. 14 and Feb. 27 in St. Catharines, Hamilton, Milton, Brampton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.
Police have identified two suspects related to this case and released a warrant for their arrest.

Jayven Fanfan Jean, 24, of Montreal is currently wanted for the following five offences:
- Financial/material benefit from the trafficking of a person over 18
- Advertising another person’s sexual services
- Trafficking in persons by exercising control
- Material benefit from sexual services
- Procuring/exercising control
Janeil Pope, 22, of Montreal is currently also wanted for the same five offences.
Police have not yet obtained a photograph of Pope but will release one when it is made available.
