Police say sudden death at Hamilton Mountain townhome not suspicious

Police have cleared the scene of a sudden death investigation at a Hamilton Mountain townhome, saying the death is not suspicious.

Hamilton police responded to a report of a sudden death in a townhome unit on Upper Wentworth Street between Stone Church and Rymal roads around 11 p.m. Saturday.

People in the area told CHCH News that a police presence is common and they were not surprised to see them.

Officers remained at the scene this morning as they waited for the results of an autopsy.

In an update this afternoon, police say the sudden death is not suspicious and they have cleared the scene.
