Man sought in $86K Rolex watch theft at Lime Ridge Mall

Hamilton police have released new images of a man wanted in connection to the theft of a $86,000 Rolex watch.

Shortly after 1:40 p.m. on July 15, police were called Ashley Jewelers in Lime Ridge Mall.

Police say a man had entered the stores under the guise of purchasing an all platinum high-end watch.

Staff retrieved the $86,000 Rolex Daytona from the safe and allowed the suspect to try it on his wrist.

The man immediately fled the store to a waiting vehicle. Police believe the man knew the store had this particular watch in stock.
