Police look to identify man involved in armed robbery on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police are looking to identify a man that was involved in an armed commercial robbery on the Hamilton Mountain.
Police say on Saturday, April 9, a lone man entered a gas station in the area of Upper Wellington Street and Limeridge Road East.
When he entered the store, he approached the clerk brandishing a black handgun and demanded cash. Police say as the clerk motioned to open the till, the man ran out of the store before receiving any cash.
Police say the man is believed to have fled on foot.
He is described as being medium build and height, wearing a black hooded Under Armour sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, black gloves and a black toque.
If anyone was in the area of Upper Wellington Street and Limeridge Road East, police are asking them to review dash cameras for any suspicious activity if they have one. Area residents are also being asked to check their surveillance cameras from the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
