Police locate body of missing Hamilton teen

Hamilton Police have located the body of a teenage boy who went missing last year.

Police say the body of 17-year-old Devon Freeman was found in a forested area in Flamborough last Thursday.

Freeman had not been seen or heard from since Oct. 6, 2017 and was reported missing two days later.

Investigators were concerned for his well-being and had asked the public for help in locating the teen.

Police do not believe his death was suspicious. “Our thoughts go out to Devon’s family,” said Hamilton police in a news release.

Police also thanked the public for their help over the past few months in sharing information about Freeman’s disappearance.
