Hamilton police are searching for three men following a Sunday afternoon armed robbery at Cash for Gold on Fennell Avenue East.
Officers tell CHCH News that at just before 5 p.m., three men armed with crowbars and a gun entered the businesses located at 1119 Fennell Ave. East while an employee was working inside.
“The victim had a gun held to him and was forced to give up both the gold and the cash,” said Insp. Andrea Torrie, with Hamilton police.
Torrie tells CHCH News the men were seen leaving the area in a dark Ford SUV.
Detectives have determined that a fourth suspect was waiting in the parked vehicle.

Police provided the following descriptions for the three men:
Investigators say the group were last seen heading westbound on Charlton Avenue West towards the 403. Ontario Provincial Police have been notified.
At this time, police could not confirm a dollar amount or amount of gold that was taken.
There were no injuries reported.
