Police investigate threat to Niagara Region HQ in Thorold

Niagara police say they’re investigating threats made against staff at Niagara Region headquarters in Thorold.

Police were called to the building around 3:45 p.m. Monday, after staff say they received a phone call “of a threatening nature.”

Roads in the area were closed to traffic for about an hour for the police investigation.

Police say they determined there was no credible or active threat to the staff or building.

The investigation remains ongoing.
