Police investigate after body found in Niagara-on-the-Lake backyard

Police are investigating after finding a body in the backyard of a home in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Sunday.

Niagara police were called shortly before 7 p.m. to a home on Anne Street, where a person was found in medical distress at the front of the house.

Paramedics transported that person to a local hospital in stable condition.

Officers then discovered another body in the backyard.

Police’s forensics unit and the coroner attended the scene and now continue to investigate the cause of death.

There is no ongoing threat to public safety related to this incident.
