Police charge Hamilton man accused of sexually assaulting child

Hamilton police have charged a 43-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a child at a business last weekend.

Investigators say the unknown man entered a business on Oct. 15, approached the child and then grabbed their buttocks before fleeing the area.

Officers say the Hamilton man is now facing one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.

Police say the accused is believed to have been scoping other potential victims prior to the incident but the opportunity did not become available.

Investigators speculate that there may be more victims and will not be releasing the location of where this happened.
