A 39 year old man and teenaged girl face human trafficking charges, accused of forcing a 16 year old Hamilton girl into the sex trade. What makes this story even more disturbing is that teenaged girl who’s charged appears to be the one who recruited the victim. Both are the same age, just 16. Police believe there may be other victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Toronto police say she was first forced into the sex trade earlier this month by another 16 year old, who they say brought her from Hamilton to a Niagara Falls hotel. The girl rented a hotel room and took photos of the victim and posted them on an internet escort site advertising sexual services. Police say the teen advertised the victim as a sex worker for several weeks and pocketed the proceeds of the transactions. Police say the girl later brought the victim to a Toronto hotel where she was introduced to a 39-year-old man.

Police say both the teen and the man controlled her with drugs and alcohol and forced her to provide sexual services and say the man also sexually assaulted her. 39 year old Courtney Rocker, of Toronto, is facing multiple charges including trafficking of a person under 18, advertising another person’s sexual services, sexual assault and possession for drug trafficking.

The 16 year old girl, who cannot be named under the youth criminal justice act is also facing charges.
