PM calls Ashley Smith case tragic

One day after video was released to the public showing teen prisoner Ashley Smith being tranquilized against her will and her hands duct-taped, prime minister Stephen Harper called the case a “terrible tragedy”.

Smith died five years ago and the Correctional Service of Canada has been trying to keep videos recorded during her incarceration from being seen by an inquiry into her death. Yesterday some videos were finally released and as Lisa Hepfner reports, they are shocking:
