Peregrine Falcon lays first egg

Some exciting news for Hamilton’s falcon watchers.

The Peregrine Falcons at the Sheraton Hamilton, Madame X and Surge had a new addition to their nest. Madame X laid the first egg of the 2014 nesting season on Saturday.

A typical clutch for peregrines is three or four eggs, with each egg being laid roughly two days after the previous one.

Incubation of the eggs takes roughly 30 days.
