Penny pinched so hard, it died

The Tories have revealed a plan to eliminate the federal deficit by 2015 – just in time for the next election.

In order to get the job done in just three years the Harper government is making a number of cuts. For example, more than 19,000 federal positions will be eliminated. They’re increasing the eligibility age for Old Age Security; and as Al Sweeney tells us, the penny is history.
